So I was going through some of my old notes tonight and I found some poetry that I wrote maybe back in 1999, so about 11 years ago; crazy to think it was that long ago.
Some of was written during the time I was reading a lot of Issac Asimov and I though it would be interesting to explore what it would be like if a sentient robot was writing a poem or trying to describe his feelings to a human.
Like time swept across forever
Misty showers in the sea of 1's and 0's
beating through my circuits
searching through logic
locked in unrecognized patterns
Is this emotion?
Here is another example:
Feral void
baseless reality
roaming randomly
outstretched
out of the far
near the endless
of whatever
grasping for air
feeding it molecules
regenerating
making copy after copy
clone after clone
the endless cycle
striving for perfection
and becoming less
aching through time
it searches
and finds only
nothing
I think it's interesting to think about how different sentient creature would view the world, it free's me up and allows me to explore things differently than how I would as a human.
